Laurie Grusonik, MS, PCLC

Welcome!

Laurie Grusonik profile

I graduated from Montana State University Northern with a master’s in mental health counseling in May 2023. I am a licensed PCLC in the state of Montana working under the supervision of Kathryn (Kittie) Bowen, LCPC. I have many life and professional experiences that have led me to the amazing role of counselor. Previously, I have worked in many levels of education, from elementary school teacher to academic advisor at the college/university level.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I gratefully have called Bozeman home for the last 13 years. My spouse and I are parents of two amazing kiddos, from whom I learn about myself and the world daily. I enjoy staying in motion doing just about any outdoor activity (especially by water), being still to reflect and relax, watching sports, and listening to music. I am continuously working to find pleasure in doing what seems like an endless amount of laundry! I love spending time with my family and friends, especially playing, listening to music, baking, cooking, and eating together.

Please reach out to me. I look forward to connecting with you.

I see the counseling process as a journey of change and connection-making as we navigate life’s challenges and experiences together. I humbly approach relationship building with warmth and empathy, follow your lead to begin at a place that feels meaningful to you to create a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space where your individuality is valued. We combine your strengths, innate self-awareness and wisdom with my clinical and therapeutic skills and knowledge in this process. Whether you’re seeking short-term relief or long-term transformation, my goal is to help you see results and start feeling better soon. Let’s work together to achieve your goals and make positive changes.

I am passionate about working with adults at all stages of life, diverse populations, those healing from various forms of trauma, experiencing anxiety and/or depression, navigating the challenges of parenting, postpartum mental health, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
