Barbara Carson-Campbell, LCPC, MA, MEd
Welcome!
How are you today?
As you move through this time of collective traumas: polarizing tensions, eco-anxiety, wars, as well as the ripples from the pandemic, how will you also move forward creating the great possibilities that abound for you? Where will your path take you?
As a therapist, assisting others through the challenges that they encounter in life is one of my goals. I believe that we all know what our best path is, sometimes it is just a matter of discovery as well as addressing the roadblocks that stand in our way. I have a strengths-based, person-centered approach and especially enjoy helping people realize the strengths and resilience that are inherent in them.
My undergraduate degree is in Animal Sciences with the original goal of becoming a veterinarian. While continuing a career in science, my path changed with the start of my family. I began my career in counseling with an M.Ed. in Secondary School Counseling and continued with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Those degrees aside, I bring to my practice a life full of diverse experiences as well as challenges.
I am licensed by the State of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
I have four grown children and enjoy, when I can, time spent with them. Yoga, cross country skiing, time with my horses and pets are ways that I find to center myself. Also, I am passionate about the art of doing nothing, finding my inner quiet.
My therapy practice is trauma informed as well as data driven, while maintaining a client centered as well as client driven, approach. I am especially passionate about the mind-body connection.
I would love to see if we are a good fit to work together. Please reach out!
