Mackenzie Stevens, Grad Student Intern
Hi, I’m Mackenzie!
I am a graduate student intern passionate about helping individuals improve their emotional well-being and foster personal growth. I am deeply committed to understanding the influences of early life experiences, trauma, and development, and how these experiences impact our overall well-being, relationships, and sense of self.
I recognize the profound impact our nervous system has on our daily lives and relationships. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, valued, and comfortable to explore your inner thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body, understand your emotions, and build a life that feels more aligned with your authentic self.
I embrace an existential belief that we have the power to find purpose and meaning in our lives, even amidst challenges. This perspective helps us understand the significance of our experiences and empowers us to make choices that align with our truest selves.
I am currently a graduate student at Montana State University for Mental Health Counseling. I am under the supervision of Kathryn Bowen, LCPC who is licensed as a counselor by the State of Montana. I am a Graduate Student Intern at Bozeman Counseling Center and will be graduating in May 2025 and will continue on with the team of therapists at BCC as a PCLC.
On a more personal note, I feel most grounded and connected when I spend time outdoors, whether it's running with my dog, hiking, cross-country skiing with friends, or simply relaxing on a patio. I value the meaningful relationships in my life and recognize the positive impact they have on my well-being. As a counseling graduate student, I am grateful to have discovered my passion for helping others, and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and supporting my clients on their journey toward wellness.
