Sara Lukkason, MMF, MFLC

Hi, I’m Sara!

I love helping people work through the many challenges of life and meet their goals for personal and relational growth. I have a systemic view of problems, which means I explore the many factors that affect our lives and encourage change on a deep, lasting level.

I am passionate about helping people with marital/partner conflict, parenting issues, cultural issues, life transitions and anxiety, among other concerns. I believe every person is innately valuable and capable, but sometimes we all need a little help getting unstuck when we’ve become entrenched in unhealthy patterns. I am here to help you through gaining insight, learning healthier thought patterns, practicing new behaviors and forming healthier attachment relationships with the people closest to you.

I grew up in Bozeman but have recently moved back after many years away. I received my BA in Family Studies from Oklahoma Christian University, then completed my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. After that I moved to Chile with my husband where we lived for thirteen years and raised our two daughters, now ages nine and six. We returned to the U.S. in 2024, and I am excited to be back working as a therapist! I am dedicated to my own personal and professional growth, which I believe is a life-long process. I am an MFLC (Marriage and Family Licensure Candidate), which means I am currently working under the supervision of Jill Thorngren, LCPC, LMFT.

I offer therapy in Spanish for those who are more comfortable speaking Spanish.

When not in the office, I enjoy hiking and camping, reading, baking (and eating!) delicious treats, and spending time with my husband and daughters.

If you are interested in working with me, I would love for you to reach out!

Hardship often prepares an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny.
