Mia Garic, MS, PCLC
Hi, I’m Mia!
I understand that the journey to creating a life you love begins with cultivating a deep and unshakable love for yourself. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and resilience, and I’m here to help you tap into that potential.
My approach to therapy is strength-based, holistic, and person-centered, meaning I focus on your unique strengths and experiences to guide our work together. By integrating various therapeutic modalities, I tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs, ensuring that you feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout the process. Within our personalized sessions, I will gently guide you toward recognizing your worth, quieting self-doubt, and nurturing a profound sense of self-acceptance. I strive to build a space for my clients that allows them to feel safe to be themselves while growing into who they aspire to become.
My love of Psychology, and understanding the human potential, started when I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree from Cleveland State University in 2014. During this time, I was working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I then moved on to teach kindergarten and first grade in Austin, TX through a government agency that focused on improving at-risk communities and families. Once I completed my year of service, I moved to Arizona to obtain my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Alongside my degree, I am licensed as a Professional Counselor Licensure Candidate by the State of Montana (BBH-PCLC-LIC-72650) and supervised by Jill Thorngren, PhD, LCPC, MFT.
In my free time, I enjoy discovering new things, whether it's traveling to different places, trying out new restaurants, or diving into a good book or podcast. Being able to share these experiences with my family and friends, and my texas heeler Roscoe brings me the greatest joy.
If you are interested in working together, please reach out. I can't wait to meet you.
