Dana Janes, MS, LCPC

For some, counseling may feel like an uncomfortable and vulnerable experience. I strive to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where you feel safe to explore your past, present, and future. Together we can discover how life experiences may have created cognitive and behavioral patterns that no longer suit you, and implement healthy changes that align with your beliefs. Overall, my goal is for you to feel heard, seen, and honored for all that is uniquely you.

My style of counseling is warm, interactive and engaging. I practice from a place of acceptance, curiosity, and empathy to aid in helping individuals better understand themselves and the world around them. I believe, once you’re better able to understand yourself the easier you’re able to make changes to enhance how you navigate life. I enjoy working with a collaborative therapeutic approach to provide you with practical tools and resources that can help support you in all areas of life.

On a personal note, when I am not working with clients I love skiing, mountain biking, attending concerts, photography and dancing.  I have two dogs Ollie and Eddy that I share with my partner. I love living in Bozeman and all that this special place has to offer us. I graduated from Montana State University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health. I am licensed by the State of Montana as a LCPC.

I’m eager to work alongside you during your counseling journey! Throughout all of your challenges and successes; I want you to leave my office with an increased sense of healing, growth and empowerment. My experience has been in relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity. If you think we may be a good fit, I would love for you to reach out!
