Candace McMann, MS, LCPC

Hi, I’m Candace McMann!

Most of us need assistance in facing our difficulties or in identifying fixed patterns that no longer serve us. We can become trapped in negative cycles that drive us mad or create an internal environment of crippling defeat or discouragement. I help guide clients in exploring these patterns and cycles with a curious and self-empowering mindset and support them in finding creative paths to resolution. I have a warm, interactive, and relational style of counseling. I always look forward to collaborating with my clients on their personal journeys of growth, self-discovery, and taking steps towards empowered authenticity.

I work with adults experiencing difficulties from ADHD, anxiety, depression, relational issues, communication skills. daily life stressors, loneliness, and those feeling they are at a “crossroads” in their lives. I like to provide educational tools and resources for my clients to use in their everyday lives, which typically makes for more engaged sessions. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated about the counseling process, which means they come in to our sessions with topics ready to be addressed, and are willing to look into resources or "homework" provided to them in our sessions. I often use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychoeducational tools in my sessions.

I graduated in 2015 from Montana State University with a BS in Community Health, and graduated again in 2021 from MSU with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), licensed with the state of Montana. I have lived in Bozeman for more than a decade and enjoy hiking, xc skiing, foraging wild plants and mushrooms, road biking, reading, attending community events, and taking long meandering walks listening to audiobooks. I have a beautiful orange tabby cat named Brigid, whom I love dearly. I can be a bit of a goofball!

I invite you to reach out and we can talk more about how I can help you!
